This is an infromational site for the Mayor's Youth Commission of Newport News.  The Commission is a group of high school students chosen to represent their schools.  These students work and consult with the Mayor on projects throughout the year concerned with improving the conditions for youth in Newport News.  The Commission continues to grow and new initiatives consantly arise as the Commission does community service projects and develops its own projects as well.
Interested in Membership?

Interviews are held each Spring, and new members are welcome! Listen to the announcements at your Newport News school for details.


Up to four representatives are chosen from each school in Newport News, public or private, following an interview and application process.
